A Tuesday NFL Game? Yes! The game - the first on a Tuesday since 1946 - will be played at 8 p.m. EST., and televised nationally by NBC after severe weather prompted the NFL to push the game back. On a bizarre day when the Philadelphia Eagles were snowed out, they celebrated an NFC East championship. The NFL moved the Vikings at Eagles game from Sunday night to Tuesday bec
Tuesday NFL Games, they're not just for Monday night's anymore.
If you're a fan of obscure trivia, congratulations if you answered the question of when the last time was the NFL had a game on Tuesday night.
For those who aren't obscure trivia fans, The New York Giants beat the Boston Yanks 17-0 on Oct. 1, 1946, in the last Tuesday night game to be played. That game was the opening game of the season, so like the Thursday night openers that have become the norm in recent years, the NFL has tried to make the opening of the NFL season a special event in the past.
This will be the 23rd NFL game ever played on a Tuesday, so remember to mark this day down to tell your grandchildren.
Inclement weather is the reason for the move from Sunday, but this brings up a point about the 2014 Super Bowl, which will be held at New Meadowlands Stadium. Should a vicious storm decide to whip its way through and up the East Coast that weekend, the NFL could have a real problem on its hands.
Fate hopefully will dictate otherwise, but until then, enjoy this rare Tuesday night game that will alleviate the need to watch reruns.

Brett Favre, may or may not play in what many expect to be his final NFL season.
And the governor of Pennsylvania, Ed Rendell, thinks we're a nation full of wussies.
The postponement somehow angered Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell. "It goes against everything that football is all about," Rendell told a local radio show in Philadelphia and expressed his frustration about the decision to change the day of the football game.
"My biggest beef is that this is part of what's happened in this country," Rendell said. "I think we've become wussies."
